S5 Purpose Driven Camp 2025
7 July, 2025

The S5 Purpose-Driven Camp was successfully held at the School Hall and Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village from 5 to 7 July 2024, marking a significant milestone for S5 students alongside the Pass-it-On Tea Gathering. These life-planning events, supported by our dedicated alumni, provided students with meaningful opportunities to envision their future with clarity and confidence.

The camp began with blessings from the Principal, Dr. Wun, and Mr. Sunny Yan, President of the Alumni Association. Students, joined by committed alumni, engaged in the symbolic act of writing aspirations on moon lamps, which illuminated their dreams and fostered encouragement and hope. These moments strengthened bonds while reminding students of the boundless opportunities awaiting them through determination and support.

Mr. Steve Ng, founder of TINY, delivered an inspiring speech on navigating a rapidly changing world with resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset. Sharing his career journey, he provided valuable insights into overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities, encouraging students to approach the future with confidence.

The Pass-it-On Tea Gathering followed, showcasing the strength of mentorship. Thirty-eight alumni from five professional fields, including Medicine and Health Care, Science and Engineering, Law and Business Administration, Social Sciences and Education, and Arts and Architecture, led small group discussions tailored to students’ interests. These sessions offered career advice, practical guidance, and insights into various professions, empowering students to make informed decisions about their future.

The camp also featured team-building activities and a Camp Fire, facilitated by university alumni, which aimed to energize and motivate students as they prepare for the DSE Exam and their future studies. Through teamwork and encouragement, students left the camp equipped to face upcoming challenges with confidence.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to our alumni for their unwavering support. Their involvement in the S5 Purpose-Driven Camp and Pass-it-On Tea Gathering has inspired students to pursue their dreams with courage and determination, paving the way for a bright future.
