The Greater Bay Area Career Exploration Tour was organized from 16 January 2025 to 18 January 2025. This school-based study tour was designed to assist senior form students in exploring career opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. A total of 17 S4 students and 12 S5 students actively participated in this enriching learning experience.
During the tour, the focus was on investigating various aspects of businesses, with a particular emphasis on China Resources Holdings Company Limited. The itinerary included insightful visits to several key locations. The journey commenced at Shenzhen Talent Park, where students engaged in small group investigations pertaining to city development and planning. Subsequently, a visit to China Resources Tower provided students with a deeper insight into the company’s working culture, talent development strategies and corporate social responsibility initiatives through a gallery tour.
Further enriching their understanding of the corporate world, students explored The Mixc, gaining valuable insights into the operations of these prominent shopping centers. A visit to China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited followed, offering a glimpse into one of China’s most efficient and profitable integrated energy companies. The tour also included a visit to the China Resources Learning and Innovation Centre, showcasing how China Resources nurtures the strengths and potential of its workforce.
Moreover, students had the opportunity to explore the Chuanghuigu-Yuegang'Ao Youth Wenchuang Community, witnessing how Hong Kong youths can leverage the support and resources provided by the Nansha District to establish their own businesses. The visit to Shawan Ancient Town provided a glimpse into the cultural heritage of Guangzhou before concluding the tour with a High-Speed Rail journey back to Hong Kong.
This immersive experience not only broadened students’ horizons but also offered practical insights into various career paths and the dynamic business landscape in the Greater Bay Area.
