Two WYC students, Tsoi Cara and Shek Man Yi, achieved significant recognition at the 2024 BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge finale with their innovative vision in the project “出門一叮．漫慢遊”. They were awarded the 2nd runner-up along with a HK$5,000 cash prize, the Best Social Impact Award and the Audience Choice Award.

Organized by Tramplus, the Grand Challenge invited all secondary school teams in Hong Kong to submit STEAM proposals aimed at blending traditions with innovations to captivate tourists. Following a thorough evaluation process by professional judges, our team was selected as one of the top 10 finalists and participated in the BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge finale on 14 December 2024 at the HKUST Shaw Auditorium. 

This competition is a perfect opportunity to showcase students’ STEAM skills and their readiness of being innovative for our future Hong Kong. Great applause to our students!
