To inspire students to go farther and deeper into national history and culture, the college invited Dr. Daisy Yiyou Wang, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM), to share the hidden stories behind the exquisite artworks and antiques in HKPM coming from the Palace Museum, in Beijing’s Forbidden City.
After the assembly, several visits to the HKPM were arranged for more than 200 students, teachers and parents. The museum, reminiscing the vast historical and cultural heritage of China, enlightens students to explore Chinese art and culture outside of the classroom. Not only does the museum act as an open platform for students to discover history and traditional craftsmanship of the cultural relics, but it also engages students with unique museum experiences through innovative and interactive learning resources.
