Chinese Culture Week 2026
12 February, 2026

Chinese Culture Week 2026 was successfully held from 9 to 12 February. This year's theme was "Chinese New Year" — celebrating our heritage as we express wishes for peace and happiness in the year ahead.

The event was co-organized by 13 different parties, including the Chinese Language and Mathematics departments; subjects such as Chinese History, Visual Arts, Geography, History, Biology, Economics and Home Economics; as well as the Chinese Debate Team, the Library Unit, the Moral and Civic Education Committee and the Student Christian Fellowship. This holistic approach enriched students' understanding of Chinese traditions and sparked their interest in our rich heritage. A series of engaging activities immersed students in the culture. The week began with interactive booths, displays, and exhibitions led by students from various co-curricular teams, who enthusiastically showcased different aspects of Chinese heritage.

Students also had the opportunity to experience traditional dragon dance and shadow puppetry. Some participated in a lantern-making workshop and others had a taste of the 2,000-year-old art of paper cutting. A book fair featuring Chinese New Year-themed titles was also held. This rich variety of activities encouraged students to delve deeper into their cultural roots while fostering a sense of pride.

With every activity and discovery, students not only gained valuable insights into Chinese culture but also developed a deeper appreciation of it.
