The S6 Farewell Assembly was held on 1 March 2024, marking a touching moment as they prepared to close a significant chapter of their educational journey. On the eve of their final day, the assembly offered a moment of reflection for the memories and experiences shared over the past six years.
The assembly commenced with S6 students taking stock of their collective past, recounting cherished moments and expressing heartfelt thanks to the school for its unwavering guidance and support. Mr. To Yee, missionary from the Methodist Church, alongside Ms. Wan Pui Shan Becky, representative from the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), then imparted words of encouragement to the S6 students, inspiring them as they stand on the threshold of a new beginning.
Our Principal, Dr. Wun Chi Wa, delivered the last Religious Education lesson on stage. Drawing from the wisdom of the Bible and the Chinese character of the graduating class's seh 煜, Dr. Wun bestowed his blessings and shared insightful advice, leaving the students with valuable lessons to carry forward.
Upholding our cherished tradition, S6 student representatives passed a candle flame to their S5 counterparts, signifying the handover of responsibility and the enduring spirit of Wa Ying.
The assembly closed with our teachers extending their sincerest wishes to the departing students through the harmonious singing of the hymn "如此認識我", a moving reminder that the grace and presence of God never depart from us.
