Hangzhou Chinese Literature Study Tour

From 17 to 21 April 2025, a total of 30 students from S4 and S5 embarked on the Hangzhou Chinese Literature Study Tour. This immersive experience was designed to bring Chinese literature to life, foster their passion for Chinese literature, and broaden their appreciation of China's natural landscapes and cultural heritage.

 

The rich and diverse itinerary included visits to locations and sites associated with renowned Chinese literature figures, such as the Former Residence of Lu Xun, the Sanwei Study Room, and the Former Residence of Yu Dafu, where students explored the lives and works of prominent Chinese writers. At the iconic West Lake Scenic Area, students admired landmarks like Leifeng Pagoda, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and Su Causeway, experiencing the poetic charm of the region. Other notable stops included the historic Cangqiao Straight Street, the serene Shenyuan Garden, and the Former Residences of Qiu Jin and Feng Zikai. The tour concluded with visits to the Wuzhen Dongzha Scenic Area, Longmen Ancient Town, and Yan Ziling Fishing Terrace, where students connected history with Chinese literature.

 

By blending classroom learning with real-world exploration, the Hangzhou Chinese Literature Study Tour provided students with a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of Chinese literature and cultural heritage while inspiring a lifelong passion for learning.
