WYC team awarded in the 17th Infrastructure Building Competition for Secondary Schools 2023

Congratulations to Chiu Ching Hei, Cheung Yui Yan, Lee Ho Kwan, and Tsang Lok Ching Joyce on winning the first runner-up in Best Structural Efficiency Award in the 17^th Infrastructure Building Competition for Secondary Schools 2023. This year, our team competed against 55 teams from 33 secondary schools. The team was required to use wood sticks and adhesives to create a bridge model to compete through several rounds of gravity tests to achieve the highest load capacity.

The competition, jointly organized by the Engineering Discipline of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, the Hong Kong Construction Association, and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong, aimed to promote and inspire interest in engineering subjects among senior secondary students by encouraging them to design and build infrastructural models.
